Making Life Better- Haley & Transition Houses

"One lives not just for oneself but for one's community."
 Ruth Bader Ginsberg

Holidays are fast approaching & there are SO many people in need!
We'd like to introduce you to the amazing work being done within these two local organizations.  Listen to their challenges and terrific programs.  Boston Chapter TTN has decided to support these two organizations in our holiday giving program - come see why.

Transition House:  Their mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence in our communities.  Some of the services offered are legal, trauma support and counseling, life skills such as financial literacy, and safe housing from emergency family shelter to longer term housing.  They make a real and impactful difference to women and children.  Sarah Gyorog, Executive Director

Haley House:  They believe in the power of community to break down barriers between people and strengthen neighborhoods.  HH offers employment to the formerly incarcerated through its Bakery and Cafe, provides more than 100 affordable housing units throughout the South End and encourages healthy lifestyles through the school based McKinley Urban Gardens.  Feeding people has been central to their mission, including programs such as a soup kitchen with 'made from scratch' meals, elder meals offering nourishment and community to seniors, and a food pantry for those dealing with food insecurity.  Grace McEnery, Outreach and Development Manager.

Zoom link will be sent Friday morning by noon.  Please email if you have not received it by then.  It will be difficult to accommodate last minute zoom requests.
