Women in Transition is a TTN Signature Program, a workshop to explore new possibilities, or navigate changes in life or work with other members in your NYC chapter. This virtual, highly interactive two-part workshop is especially relevant during the uncertainties of this pandemic period.

This 2-day workshop (10/2 & 10/4) will engage you with information about what it means to be in transition and involves small group discussion. You'll deal with provocative questions that will stimulate constructive conversation designed to expand your horizons and support wherever you are in your transition journey.

The goals of this highly interactive workshop are to:

  • Engage and connect with other women in transition,

  • Learn what it means to be in transition,

  • Expand your possibilities and options,

  • Know what is important and energizing for you, and Create a “next steps” action plan.

Here’s what our members who have experienced the WIT Workshop said they liked:

  • the opportunity to connect and empathize with like-minded women,

  • gaining valuable insights and perspective into their needs,

  • developing concrete blueprints for moving ahead productively.

As an added bonus, WIT members report developing lasting friendships with local TTNers that go beyond the workshop experience and provide continued support.

"Just excellent. Perfect balance of helpful materials, guides, tools and discussion and exercises. Facilitated so well -- getting everyone to participate in authentic, meaningful and impactful ways."

"A very worthwhile experience. The presenter was caring and answered all questions and concerns with detailed and helpful responses, which clarified all activities."

Many chapter members who have taken WIT have gone on to take the more intense "Crafting Your Next Act" 4 part workshop. Look for that program later in the month.

This virtual workshop is led by TTN - NYC Chapter member Karen Merson, a highly trained and experienced facilitator and executive coach.

Karen Merson - A consistent theme of Karen’s career has been working closely with people interested in change. She holds three graduate degrees; a MS in Dance Therapy from University of Wisconsin, an MBA, in Organizational Behavior and Development from George Washington University, a MA in Organizational Transformation, from Fielding Graduate University, and completed her doctoral course work in Transformational Learning for Social Justice at Fielding.  During her professional career Karen consulted with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits and small businesses to help with their transformation process.

For 18 years Karen was an adjunct professor in Organizational Behavior at New York University, where she received the Outstanding Teaching Award and was a full time professor at The New School University where she was one of three finalists for the Best Teaching Award.  After becoming a certified coach in 2013 Karen co-founded New Attitude a coaching practice that helps women create meaningful and fulfilling “third acts”.

Karen has a talent for helping people find their voice, allowing them to express who they are and what they want. She is a skilled and inspiring group facilitator. Her goal is to help people recognize their value in the world.
