TTN Meet at the Movies! Home Edition
An Invitation from the TTN Chicago Chapter

Since movie theatres are closed for the foreseeable future, TTN Chicago is bringing Meet Me at the Movies home!

Our first home outing will be the 9-part miniseries Mrs. America (watch the trailer here) The series is loosely based on the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and the unexpected backlash led by Phyllis Schlafly, played by Kate Blanchett. Through the eyes of the women of that era—both Schlafly and second-wave feminists Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisholm, Bella Abzug and Jill Ruckelshaus—the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the '70s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and shifted the American political landscape.

Watch the series on your own at home and then join us for lively discussion. The series is available on Hulu (subscribe or try a free trial), YouTube ($14.99 for all episodes) and Amazon Prime ($14.99 for all episodes).
