Your guide will take you through the grand Beaux-Arts building - an important part of Philadelphia's past and present. You’ll admire the newly repurposed Music room with instruments and sheet music and visit the outdoor rooftop deck for amazing views of the city.
The Library’s rare books exhibit includes Oriental manuscripts, the A.S.W. Rosenbach Collection of Early American Children’s Books, letters of Presidents and the collections of Beatrix Potter and Edgar Allen Poe. A bequest from William McIntire Elkins enabled the installation of the 62-foot-long paneled Georgian room along with his entire library and collections of Oliver Goldsmith, Charles Dickens and Americana as well as miscellaneous literary treasures.
Please contact Mary Clifford at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in joining the group for lunch after the tour.
Cancellations must be made by September 20, 2019; no refunds will be given after this date.
