The Curtis Institute of Music is one of the world's most prestigious conservatories, and it's in our own backyard. TTN members are invited for a "Behind the Scenes Tour" where you will have the opportunity to speak with Curtis students and staff plus tour areas of Curtis buildings that are not usually open to the public.
The evening will begin at with light refreshments in the Locks Board Room of Curtis's Lenfest Hall. After a brief orientation to Curtis there will be time for Q & A with students and staff before we tour the non-resident floors of the Lenfest Building. Then we will tour the Main Curtis building at 1726 Locust Street.
Founded in 1924, the Curtis Institute is one of the premier conservatories in the world. It provides full-tuition scholarships to all students, ensuring that admissions are based solely on artistic promise.
Following the tour, you are welcome to stay for the free student recital at 6:30 pm in the Field Concert Hall (main Curtis building at 18th and Locust St.). Information on the concert is available online at www.curtis.edu.
Registration, payments and cancellations* must be made by April 8, 2019. *No refunds will be given after this date.
