Seniors are often a primary target for scams and fraud. This informative program will give you the latest updates on best ways to protect yourself:   
  • Increase your Awareness of common scams and frauds
  • Be more Alert of your surroundings
  • How to Avoid being the next victim  
This session will include Identity theft, Mail & Wire fraud, Power of Attorney scams, IRS scams, Lottery fraud, Medicare/Healthcare scams, Grandparent scams and others.

Additional topics will include:
  • Understand the scope of the problem, what's new in 2018
  • Best practices to avoid becoming a victim
  • How to minimize one's vulnerability
  • Setting up alerts for bank accounts
  • Steps to take if your identity has been stolen and/or compromised
  • Filing a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General
  • Resources available to protect seniors
  • Maintaining healthy relationships:  Healthcare/Financial Power of Attorney, Trustees, Executors
