New Volunteer Opportunity: Habitat for Humanity Orientation

Tuesday, April 11, 2017
4:00 to 5:30 PM
Location: 915 Clinton St. Apt. 203, Philadelphia
Contact: Moya Kinnealey

TTN members are invited to attend an orientation for our new volunteer opportunity:  Hosting Dedication Day receptions for Habitat for Humanity. Rita Calicat, Director of Family Services for Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, will present an orientation on the valuable work of this organization. She will also give general information and answer questions about Dedication Day activities.

TTN members and VO committee members Anne Tindall, Debbie Earle and Moya Kinnealey will share their experience hosting a Dedication Day this past February 4th.

The orientation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, at 4:00 – 5:30 at Mary Klein’s home.  Mary Klein lives at 915 Clinton St. Apt. 203. Her telephone number is 267-738-2625. Please register for the orientation.

There will be several Dedication Days scheduled over the next few months when families move into their new or refurbished homes. It is a joyous occasion for family, friends, sponsors and volunteers. TTN volunteers will ready the house for the reception with decorations, distribute programs, and set up and replenishing refreshments. We are looking for 5-6 volunteers for each Dedication. The Dedication Receptions will be held  in the day time, near Temple University on a block of 16th Street that is current focus of habitat activity in Philadelphia.
