Bus trip to visit National Museum of African American History and Culture

We’ve got a ticket for you to visit the newest museum of the Smithsonian Institution!  The remarkable National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. The Museum was established by an Act of Congress in 2003, after decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans. To date, the Museum has collected more than 36,000 artifacts. 

The Museum provides an opportunity for those who are interested in African American culture to explore and revel in this history through interactive exhibitions.  It helps all Americans see how their stories, their histories, and their cultures are shaped and informed by global influences.  And it explores what it means to be an American and share how American values like resiliency, optimism, and spirituality are reflected in African American history and culture.

Our bus will depart at 7 am one block west of Amtrak’s 30th Street Station, directly across the street from where the Mega and Bolt buses depart on JFK Boulevard, between 30th and 31st streets.  There is a parking lot at this location and is readily accessible to public transportation. 

Our Museum tickets will be distributed on the bus and are for an 11 am entry.  Since everyone will go through the museum at their own pace, we suggest that you supplement your self-guided tour by downloading the free app from the NMAAHC website

The bus will leave the museum at 4:45 pm to return to Philadelphia.  We will serve your choice of salad or sandwich box “lunch” and bottled water on the bus, included in the price of the trip.

The remaining spots are now available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Don’t delay, as there are only a limited number of tickets.
