April Talking Circle: Retirement
Retirement – Relax, Reinvent, Reconnect
Have you been downsized, your job outsourced or are you able to retire on your own terms? Either way, moving out of the work force voluntarily or involuntarily, is one of the biggest transitions most people face in their lives.
Culturally, we are defined by what we do, and our value is in what we contribute professionally. When we have no answer to the frequent question “What do you do?” we can be made to feel sidelined and absent from the mainstream. When lifelong careers come to an end, there are many questions and fears to deal with, like:
- Free at last or is that a temporary state?
- Who am I now?
- Do I have enough money?
- What will I focus on next?
Join us at this Retirement Talking Circle and see how others are navigating this critical transition and leave with new ideas and a clearer understanding of how to enjoy your new life.
