TRANSITION PEER GROUPSTransition Peer Groups (TPGs) are for members who want to think through and manage change and transition in their lives. TPGs are not "therapy" sessions and do not take the place of professional help. However, we know that sharing insights and thoughts with other members in a safe and confidential environment can be comforting and constructive.
TPGs are organized and launched by the Peer Group Committee when a sufficient number of members (usually, 8-10 to get started) are available. Most existing TPGs are not looking for new members - but new TPGs are formed every couple of months. Scroll down to see a list of TPGs accepting new members.
Please DO NOT DESPAIR if you do not get placed immediately in a TPG upon signing up for TTN. Interested members are placed on a waiting list and as soon as there is a critical mass, the Committee launches a new TPG.
If you are currently coordinating a TPG that's looking for additional members, please notify us and include the following information: day and time group meets, brief description of how group works (e.g., one member always picks topics and facilitates, members rotate picking topics, any specific focus group has, etc.), whom should be contacted re: prospective members, and the number of new members you're looking for.
HELP WANTED!! If you are a member of a TPG and would like to share that great experience, please consider being a coach or mentor for a newly starting group. You’ll get all the help you’ll need from the Peer Group Committee.
AND, if you are eager to experience what Peer Groups are all about, and do not wish to wait for a TPG to be formed or become available, check out the open SIGs HERE. You just may find the perfect group to engage your interests and passions.
