ABOUT THE ATLANTA CHAPTER

The Atlanta chapter offers Transition Peer Groups, Special Interest Groups and interest programs to engage our members.  We are also very interested in ways to give back to our community - both locally and across the globe.

TTN is a national non-profit organization for women 50+ who are interested in connecting with other women as they enter this next stage of their lives.   Whether you are transitioning into retirement, making a life change, starting a new career, or just interested in socializing, TTN provides numerous opportunities to meet smart, diverse, interesting, and fun-loving women in a variety of settings.

During this critical period of time as we struggle with the impact of COVID, we are at risk of becoming isolated.  We are missing our activities and busy social calendars.  Please know that we are here for you!   There are many ways we can keep ourselves from feeling alone and disconnected.  Most of our Peer Groups and a number of our Special Interest Groups are meeting virtually.  We have begun new forums for sharing and laughing together such as our coffee and cocktail hours.  Check out our events page and join us!!

In the words of our members, we come together to:

  • Discover new freedoms and explore the richness of experience open to us
  • Create meaningful new relationships and a supportive community
  • Think through retirement issues: define what it means, work through anxieties, and plan and organize next steps
  • Find new passions and start “encore careers”
  • Reinvent ourselves

Come help us build our community and find support as we define and refine our visions for what’s next and make it happen. Newcomers are welcome!

We are having virtual Peer Group meetings and some SIGs are meeting through Zoom.  We will keep you posted when our face to face meetings, events, and outings are re-scheduled.  Do follow the guidelines put forth by health professionals and stay safe.
