Boston Chapter
Christmas in Newport
(Posted December 10, 2019)
A festive day, started with our private motor coach to Newport, RI. First stop, Marble House, a Gilded Age mansion designed as a summer cottage - with fifty-rooms and a staff of 36 servants. After time to tour and explore this beautiful mansion we headed to the waterfront for lunch at 22 Bowen's. We had our own room, with a sea view, to enjoy our included 3-course lunch. After a leasurely lunch we headed to The Breakers, the grandest of the mansions, created by the Vanderbilt family. After time to enjoy the beauty of this famous mansion we headed home. A great way to celebrate this festive season!
