Culture Mavens November Discussion

Attended by Rosemary Byrne, Allyson Johnson, Miriam Rinn and Joan Prince, the discussion
started with what’s at Lincoln Center, off Broadway at the Lucille Lortel and the Teaneck Film Festival. Discussion centered around movies such as “Wonderstruck 1927-1977”, “The Florida Project”An Inconvenient Sequel,” “Jesus Hopped the A Train”, “Lady Bird”, “Breadwinner”, “Daughters of the Dust” and “The Last Blintze”
 
 
Highlighted were the offerings at William Patterson College in NJ and at Temple Emanu-El in NYC. Their speaker series started this year with Michelle Obama (she spoke in October) and includes upcoming appearances by Colin Powell and Khizr Khan.
The well-reviewed Michelangelo exhibit at the Met was discussed as well as programs at the NY Historical Society,
 
Suggested date for next meeting is January 4 at the home of Rosemary Byrne.
