When I Worked for the Mob and Other TTN Stories!

February 21, 2016

Two peer groups in the North-Central NJ Chapter started meeting in 2015 to discuss ways to make an impact on the community and to feel a sense of purpose in doing so. Those groups – NJ Women in Transition and the Montclair Peer Group – came together again on Feb. 21, 2016, for continued friendship over a fabulous brunch at the home of Marilyn Shuffler. This time, the conversation veered into unusual aspects of members’ lives. One offered how she (inadvertently) worked for the mob early in her career. Another recalled that she owned three motorcycles at one point, and that her mother kept a machine gun at home. We certainly are not always as we appear!
