Created by Jennifer Childs, this project looks at how women use humor at different ages to cope with different life situations. The piece is in development this year and will culminate in a theater production titled IT'S MY PARTY in the spring of 2013.
Part of the development process is interviews and workshops with women from all walks of life to explore how we are funny and to examine the role of comedy in our lives. Childs is partnering with The Transition Network for a special workshop which will include improvisation and storytelling exercises followed by a discussion over sandwiches and a light dinner.
