Are You Stuck? TTN is Here to Help
August 2012
In July I co-facilitated Explore Your Future workshops in New York City. In the first session, our audience of 20 women and men said “I’m stuck! I’m at a crossroads….I want to reinvent myself…be open to new ideas…figure out what to do with my new freedom..find role models.”Sound familiar? Most of you came to TTN on the same quest, to find direction, new ideas and companions on this journey. We offer many ways to find the answers, and the role models - and we promise that getting there will be half the fun. We still live in a do-it-yourself world when it comes to opportunities in the second half of life, but your TTN colleagues are the trailblazers.
A sampling of “fresh perspective” activities from around the country:
- NYC’s annual milestone birthday dinner, celebrating our lives and wisdom
- Central Ohio’s Transition Stories fall kickoff panel program
- Santa Fe’s September networking session
- DC’s ongoing “Rewiring” small group, a monthly opportunity to share challenges and get insights from fellow members (“Rewiring” and “rewire” are trademarks of Jeri Sedlar and Rick Miners)
- Chicago’s new Life Transitions book group
- San Francisco Bay Area’s downtown roof walk, offering a pigeon’s eye view of the city
